I've just uploaded a new gallery with all my photos taken of Chailland in France.
I lived and worked in the tiny French village of Chailland for 6 years, and often look back with fond memories of my time there.
The village is situated in the Mayenne department, north of the main town of Laval. Technically it is in the Pays de la Loire region, but is actually very close to the border of the Brittany and Normandy, and therefore was a great base to explore those two regions from.
This image was taken in the centre of the village, looking up the road past the church. This road leads to a path up the hill, where there is situated a statue of the virgin Mary which overlooks the town. If you are ever in the area I strongly recommend a visit - the village is very friendly and is has been nominated as a 'village of character', a very prestige honour.
I still have a lot more photos from my time in France to put up, hopefully I'll be able to add more galleries in the coming days. In the meantime, visit the gallery here.
