Hi all,
I've just uploaded a new gallery (click here). This one consists of photos taken whilst I visited the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley, West Midlands.
The museum itself is absolutely fascinating, it's an open-air living museum where you can wander about at your own pace seeing all these old historic buildings brought back to life. The attention to detail inside and outside all the buildings is just amazing, and the people who work there are very friendly and knowledgeable.
The buildings have been put together in such a way as to build an entire village, combining residential and industrial buildings in a sympathetic and accurate way. There are also a few shops (I especially like the sweet shop!), a school, and even a cinema! The tour of the mines is also excellent, and I would thoroughly recommend the canal ride (this is done by a seperate company and therefore costs extra). Visit their website here.
As for the photos, I've experimented with them quite a bit. With the majority of them I've tried to capture an old-time feel to them, whereas I've had a bit of a play with a couple of them. This one is a good example!
